You can choose from a variety of profiles, with single truss arches or double truss arches. The straight braces assure higher strength of the structure while oval tubing offers broader support to the membrane, increasing its longevity. HP and XP domes are the profiles most likely to be found in the framework of waste management activities because they allow high side wall clearance. Straight walls maximize storage space and facilitate machinery manoeuvres, while the absence of central support on the structure allows maximum clearance for space usage. |

Built to last, MegaDome® structures are manufactured with bronze welded steel having undergone advanced treatment procedures to increase its resistance to corrosion. Besides pregalvanized steel, hot-dipped galvanized steel is also available for applications in highly corrosive environments. All welding are accredited by the Canadian Welding Bureau. |

The type of activities, the volume of material to store, the necessary clearance for effective handling determine the kind of foundation to use. The concrete block foundation is mostly used because it is economic, solid and for the possibility it gives to relocate the dome quickly and easily. |

PowerShield® membranes ensure a superior protection against inclement weather and UV rays. Available in a variety of colors, the white cover is a privileged choice in the waste management field of activities for the high luminosity it lets in the building. It contributes to the reduction of energy bills, since the need for artificial lightning is reduced. Fire retardant covers (white only) are also available. The choice of the membrane color can also be made by taking into consideration the appearance of the surrounding buildings. |

Roof ventilation is assured by turbines. The necessary quantity is determined according to the usage and the length of the building. MegaDome® structures can receive all kinds of conventional garage doors, as well as curtain doors.
Every MegaDome® is designed with the concern of meeting the local and national building codes. All our structures are built according to their use, the wind and snow loads of the cities where they are being set up as well as the type of ground where it will be built. Additional factors are weighted in such as the proximity of an existing building or woods or an uneven building ground. MegaDome®’s quality is characterized by its concern for details. Furthermore, our PowerShield® cover meets the BMEC (Building Material Evaluation Commission) standards. This commission operates under the Building Code Law authority. Having jurisdiction in Ontario, Canada, this certification can facilitate the obtaining of a construction license in other Canadian provinces. Our engineers can also produce a BCIN (Building Code Identification Number) indicating that they are certified designers, an additional insurance that your structure is one of quality. |
